Today, we’re doing something a little different

Things in the world feel especially heavy lately. Wars, ongoing supply chain disruptions, droughts, food shortages, the pandemic, inflation, historic fires etc. are at the top of mind for almost everyone that I have interacted with lately.

And last week I came down with a cold that completely took me by surprise. Turns out that two weeks of dust storms and intermittent wildfire smoke will do that. My original intention was to begin an introduction to identifying competitive advantages, but that is postponed until next week.

Sometimes our best-laid plans get modified.

Instead, we’re pivoting this week to what is going on in the world. There are a lot of great organizations out there on the front lines of various global crises doing incredible work. You may have your favorite ones - and that’s excellent! Keep supporting them.

I offer this list for anyone unsure of what to do, where to start, or how to help. They are just a few of the worthy causes - but I wanted to share organizations that I am personally familiar with.

Please consider helping in the ways that you feel called to do so.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ― Anne Frank
